5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Countertop Oven, December 11, 2010

Great size. Great controls. Originally we had the top-ranked Cuisinart brand with digital controls that did NOT turn itself off. With kids in the house it was a safety issue. Unsurprisingly, that other oven melted its own power cable when it didn't turn itself off. THIS unit is just as large, has great controls AND turns itself off.

The toaster function works very well, and the settings are accurate: medium is medium, etc. We've also noticed that this convection oven is SO MUCH Quieter than the other top-ranked model we owned.

Another GREAT function is the ability to clean the crumb pan FROM THE FRONT. Our last oven could only be cleaned by turning the oven around on the counter to access the crumb pan. On this oven the crumb pan can be pulled right out behind the front door.

It comes with two shelves in case you need them, and it also comes with a VERY STURDY broiler pan. We were surprised at the quality of the accessory pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great oven!, December 9, 2010

I bought this last weekend at a local store. The convection toaster is very stylish and the dials feel solid. It actually comes with two racks and since it is a convection oven you can bake two 12" pizzas at the same time. We tried it with a 12" pizza and fries and it came out perfect. We have a Fridgidaire convection oven but we plan on using this more often as it heats up very quickly and uses less energy.

The first unit I got made a very loud and annoying humming like the convection fan was not aligned. I returned it and the second one is very quiet and barely noticable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little oven, November 23, 2010

This counter top convection oven does a great job of baking and broiling. Convection baking takes either lower temperatures or less time. But the results are good. Have not tried the toaster function yet.The oven is sturdy and not flimsy like some other table top ovens that I looked at. A quality product. The dials are easy to use and the timer is a nice feeture.
I would recommend to a friend

5.0 out of 5 stars NICE OVEN, July 6, 2010

I have used the oven for toasting, baking, keep warm & Panini & was very satisfied with each outcome. My DH really likes the Panini's. The toast takes a little longer than a regular toaster, but to me it is worth the wait. It toasts on both sides, unlike most toaster ovens. All in all, I am very pleased & would recommend. Five Star rating.

Panini function is kind of cool but just to toast something TAKES FOREVER!!! I feel like I'm cursed when it comes to toaster shopping. I finally decided it would be worth it to spend a lot and get a good one and I'm still completely displeased with my toasting experience. If I had endless counter space I'd keep this for the oven and get a good pop-up toaster for toast. But why can't somebody make a decent toaster oven that does both? WHY?!?

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Panini option, February 7, 2011
This review is from: DeLonghi EOP2046 Toaster Oven with Integrated Panini Press (Kitchen)
Had a DeLonghi toaster/oven for 7 years just replaced it with this oven. Love that it includes the panini option which I've already used several times and saves on an extra appliance. Highly recommend this oven!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great rotisserie, but not really a toaster, March 24, 2010
By
Anonymous (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Black & Decker CTO7100B Toast-R-Oven Digital Rotisserie Convection Oven (Kitchen)
This B&D oven makes outstanding rotisserie meats and is a big leap in value over a traditional toaster oven, with one significant drawback: it's a very mediocre toaster. In fairness, nowhere on the packaging does this product say "toaster" -- it's simply described as a convection rotisserie oven. But if you're considering an upgrade over a standard toaster oven like I was, you're probably hoping for the best of all worlds: rotisserie, convection oven, and toaster. It nails the first two, but is merely acceptable on the third.

Rotisserie: It takes a few tries to get a feel for the timing, but once you do, you get really outstanding roasts and restaurant-quality rotisserie chicken. The rotisserie keeps juices circulating inside, so the meat doesn't dry out like when you bake it the standard way. Some have noted that it isn't really big enough for chicken, and it can be a squeeze. But if you tie the legs with cooking twine (which you should do anyway, to prevent... Read more

I searched for a long time before buying this, it is great for heating up anything, we barely ever turn on our big oven now! the only problem is that the rotisserie is worthless! chickens dont come small enough to fit, plus the skewer pops out and doesnt spin! this is a great toaster oven but dont buy it for the rotisserie!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, But...., May 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Black & Decker CTO7100B Toast-R-Oven Digital Rotisserie Convection Oven (Kitchen)
We've had this device for several weeks now. We've used it for baking, rot is, toasting, but not broiling as of yet.

Here are the observations:

[1] Good device for all intents and purposes.
[2] Needs improved control of the toast function. Set to 3, the toast is too light. Set to 4 it burns the edges. Instead of 7 settings. Make it 20 settings. You can afford to pay your programmers that much. It would only be a few lines of code and a more flexible circuit. I'd rather have the flexibility than years of improperly done toast.
[3] The rot is has issues with whole chickens of 3 pounds and up. They need to be trussed up in a corset of string to avoid contacting the drip pan
[4] The beep on the machine sounds too much like the smoke detector. I can live better without thinking there's a fire in the kitchen. Change the sound to something else.

Regards,

Chuck Pelto
